Well done to Cpl Bagley and Cdt Allen-McIntyre from 8️⃣7️⃣8️⃣ Sqn who completed the 2019 Ten Tors Challenge last weekend! 🥾🏅⛰

The Ten Tors Challenge is an incredibly tough event, with teams of 6 teenagers navigating routes of 35, 45 or 55 miles over Dartmoor, visiting 10 nominated Tors in under 2 days 😨 Teams must be entirely self-sufficient and stay out overnight, whatever the great British weather throws at them! The training for the event started way back in December 2018, with walks every other weekend, teaching the cadets navigation over challenging terrains and to look after themselves in often difficult conditions.

Cdt Allen-McIntyre completed 35 miles, walking for 13 hours on Saturday and 7 hours on Sunday. Cpl Bagley completed an astounding 45 miles, walking for 15 hours on Saturday and 9 hours on Sunday. There were lots of sore feet the next day! 👣 Both teams received nice shiny medals for their amazing efforts and hard work, and here they are after crossing the finish line Sunday before a well deserved sit down.
